BRIDGE THE GAP 4TH – JUNE 11TH

Tonight I will fly to NYC to celebrate Bridge Runners 10 years anniversary and BTGNYC2014. We are 10 friends from @Nbrorunning who’s going together. Running crews from around the world will be gathered to celebrate urban running. Can’t wait to meet all these amazing runners from around the world and #RUNPARTYREPEAT !

OVERVIEW

“Bridge The Gap is the Culmination of like minded Running Crews that congregate across the Planet. Normally BTG’s are centered around specific running events. For the first time the BTG Movement will have it’s own programming. No Rooster Runs! The First official Bridge The Gap event took place in Berlin 2012. Since then many Crews have played host to the Crewsaders that come to visit. Most recently the Berlin Braves hosted a BTG in Berlin and Harbour Runners welcomed us to Hong Kong.”

ELLE Interview

elle magazine

Did an online Interview for Danish ELLE Magazine about myself and what to expect from my new blog.

Translated interview:

Topmodel Caroline Brasch Nielsen has a pretty cool sister. Her name is Frederikke and besides supporting Caroline through thick and thin and being her travel buddy, Frederikke loves to run, cook, travel and buy sneakers. Furthermore she recently started her own blog, which is called ‘Brasch On The Run’ and here on ELLE we’re already fans!

ELLE met Frederikke for a chat about Copenhagen, shopping, travel, music and of course blogging’. Read along…

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m a 24-year-old girl, who loves to meet new people, create relations, travel and physically use my body. I just started by new blog in cooperation with the web shop ‘youheshe’, where I’ll blog about workouts, recipes, sneakers and fashion.

Why should be follow your new blog?

Because I believe I can contribute with something new in addition to traditional fashion-blogs.  I won’t blog about traditional fashion, but more an active and modern lifestyle with a sporty fashion-twist!

Favourite thing to do?

I love to cook and experiment with new compositions of food. Sunday dinner with my family is also a highlight of my week, and then of course to run/hang out with my friends in @nbrorunning.

Favourite destination?

Without a doubt NYC. It almost feels like my second home. My sister has an apartment in Soho, and in the past 5 years I’ve been there around 15 times with her.

Next buy?

I’m dreaming of a beautiful ‘mask earing’ from the new young jewellery designer Olga Bonne.

Favourite spot in Copenhagen?

That is without a doubt my parent’s take-away restaurant ‘Fredco’s Deli’ which is placed in inner-city. The restaurant is named after my sister and I (Frede & Caro). I sometimes eat there several times a day.

What do you look forward to this summer?

I can’t wait to go to NYC on Wednesday together with 8 people from my running crew. We are participating in the 10 year anniversary of the underground running crew ‘BTG’ (Bridge the Gap). Furthermore is Roskilde definitely a thing I can’t wait for, I’m going with both by sister and friends.

What are you listening to?

I’m a total sucker for hip-hop, Drake, Rihanna and Beyoncé are big favourites.

Luxury Granola

Granola frederikke brasch
2.5 dl. rolled oats (gluten free)
1/2 dl Flaxseed
1 dl sunflower seeds
1 dl. pumpkin seeds
1 dl. almonds
3 tablespoon of chia seeds
2 tablespoon honey
1 dl. coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Warm the coconut oil, honey, cinnamon and vanilla in a large skillet. Fry all the ingredients in the pan.

Pour the granola out on a baking plate with baking paper. Turn the oven on a low temperature (I usually have it on 150 degrees, hot air) for approximately 10-15 minutes.
Take the granola out and let it cool on a wire rack, and when cold pour it into a air tight container. I often can’t wait to taste it, and I love it freshly made on my skyr as a light snack anytime of the day.

Tip: For an extra touch you can mix for example raisins, mulberries, dried blueberries, dried cranberries, raw cocoa powder, chopped chocolate into the granola once it has cooled down.
