COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK 2015

The past week has been pretty intense. I have been on the run attending fashion shows, dinners, meetings, taking photos, networking, partied… you name it! Copenhagen Fashion Week only has two show days which makes the schedule really busy and compressed. Furthermore, shows are not located in the same venua as is the case at Stockholm Fashion Week. Luckily, I managed to keep up with my schedule and had a really good time.

Wednesday morning: Tommy Hilfiger hosted a brunch where they served Matcha tea, american pancakes and Frankly Juice. Perhaps, they had found their inpiration on my blog and Instagram 😉

I love the old-school Hilfiger logo and I can’t wait to wear this cool swimwear at the beach!

Designers Remix show took place at an indoor go-kart track in one of Carlsberg’s old buildings and my sister walked the show. I really liked their white coat; it is so ugly that it becomes pretty! I think it was brilliant to host the show at the go-kart track! The vibe was really good and everyone hada good view of the show. Well done Charlotte Eskildsen!

Baum und Pferdgarten is one of my favorite Danish brands! I love the mix of elegance and street. The blue coat is my all time favorite from all shows! I love blue and wish I could wear it right now!
Ganni hosted their show at Enghavevej where they showed a mix between black and red punk meets China. I really liked the black kimono suit.

The young, Danish designer Freya Dalsjø chose to show her SS15 collection as a short movie and she invited the press to the cinema. After the film screening, thepieces were shown at a small reception. I’m really crazy about the patterned fur top.
Bruun’s Bazar made a really beautiful show with a Scandinavian feel with soft and minimalistic pieces. I really like all the laced material that they used. Perfect for long Summer nights and very elegang and chic.
Henrik Vibskov is known for his creative designs. As always, his show was super cool to watch. He had rubber gloves moving on the runway and artsy clothing. My favorite outfit was the skirt with the hand print. I have always been fascinated by Fatima’s Hand and I have a necklace with the hand that I wear almost every day. It is made even more special because it is a present from my grandma.

Mads Nørgaard put on a rock’n roll show with a differety types of models. Street models as well as supermodels such as Kirstin Liljegren and my sister Caroline Brasch Nielsen. The show was fun to watch and it was easy to spot the punk, Bowie, Berlin, cool kids inspiration. I think the colored stripes that my sister wore was really cool!

Fonnesbech hosted their show at Copenhagen City Hall. The collection was inspired by the end of World War I and women’s rights. My favorite outfit was the red outfit. The color is really cool and caught the eye! The whole collection was super elegant and made the models look beautiful and feminine.
Veronica B. Vallens showed her beautiful and feminine collection at Hotel D’Angleterre. My favorite outfit was the camel leather dress with pants! Would love to wear it one day.

Friday morning, I was invited to get a sneak-peak at Sophie Bille Brahe’s new colorful jewelry collection. Her design is so beautiful and I need to start saving money right away so I can get my hands on the red and blue ellipse earring!
After looking at jewelry I went to the fashion fair ‘Revolver’ to look at my good friends, Saks Potts, new collection. I have been friends with the girls for many years and I’m so proud of how far they have already progressed in their careers. Barbara and Cathrine are only 20 years old but they have already maneged to get their fur designs in stores like Collette in Paris and celebrities like Beyonce have worn their pieces.
The new collection is all about the color pink! Pink fur, pink kimonos – pink girly world!

I also visited the designer behind HTWO John Hansen and looked at the new collection he made for AW15. I love this two-piece, sporty neoprene dress. You will definitely see me wearing it during the Summer with my new white Super Star sneakers and tanned skin!

Friday night, my blog was nominated as “Best New Fashion Blog” at Miinto.dk’s Award show at Børsen. I had my good friend Leyla Piedayesh, the designer behind the popular German brand La La Berlin with me for support. We were both wearing La La Berlin of course and sneakers from Adidas.
I didn’t win the price but I was still proud to be nominated. The winner was the amazing street-style blog Polaris-journal.com. I’m super happy for them. They work really hard and both Josh and Louise are my close friends. Louise takes a lot of my photos and Josh also became a close friend in this buisness.
After the award show, Leyla and I had dinner at Geist with my friend Nanna Barlby. After the dinner, we went to the “Dansk Dinner” for drinks. We met the guys behind the French street brand Pigall who were in town for fashion week! We all went to Sunday Club and danced until dawn!
