Fit-for-fight immune system

In my opinion, I have always had a healthy lifestyle. However,  in the past couple of years, I have become more physically  active. As I started to run and swim more,  I realised that I needed to protect and refuel my body: Restore minerals, herbs, recreate energy, build a stronger immune system etc … all in order to be able to keep going with my busy schedule.   I was never a big fan of taking vitamin pills and other dietary supplements. However, as I was seeking to be “body smart” my curiosity drove me to take natural dietary supplements and follow a certain regime every day:   For the past 6 months, I have tried out a great line of products called VitaViva. The Netherland-based company was created by a group of health professionals, and doctors. They have been around for many years and offer people  a large variety of vitamins, minerals, and natural supplements. image Morning routine: Vitamin C helps skin tissue repair itself and can thus help to reduce the effect of sun damage. Vitamin C is found in many foods including citrus fruits, strawberries, tomatoes, broccoli and sweet potatoes – so stock up on these foods during the summer along with a strong supplement. Vitamin C also helps to boost collagen production which restores your skin’s strength. Juice complex offers high levels of antioxidants which helps prevent the proliferation of disease-causing cells. Studies also indicate that the berries used have been shown to reduce cholesterol levels – thus promoting good heart health. Furthermore, their high levels of lutein have been linked to improved vision. Magnesium. Vital for healthy heart and nerves. High potency, body-preferred form. Bone-building mineral – a great supplement for runners! image Evening: Flaxseed OMG´S (flaxseed oil) have a high level of vitamin B, Magnesium, and Manganese. flaxseeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, a key force against inflammation in the body and therefore a great alternative to fish oil for vegans/vegetarians. Q10 is a vitamin-like nutrient involved in the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) which gives you more energy. Juice Complex.  Magnesium. Calcium is a mineral that your body needs to maintain and build strong bones. It’s found in all dairy products. If you do not get enough calcium then you may suffer from brittle and weak bones, a condition called osteoporosis. You get calcium from a healthy, rich, and diverse diet but in most cases supplements are a good aid, especially for people who are lactose intolerant or vegetarians. It is recommended that women over the age of 30 take a daily calcium supplement. It’s best to pair calcium with vitamin D because that allows your body to fully absorb the mineral.
