ADIDAS ORIGINALS SUPERSTAR

Adidas has just re-launched the famous Superstar shoe with a 'Superstar' campaign featuring people such as Pharrell, David Beckham and Rita Ora. You may think that these are the superstars of our time. However, the point of the campaign is to communicate that superstars are not necessarily defined by how many strangers recognize you on the street or how many followers and likes you get on social media. Whilst the campaign does not necessarily give you the answer as to who the 'real' superstars are, it certainly raises a discussion as to how we should define these.

Here in Denmark, I am have been chosen as one out of 15 Superstars. We each represent a category such as fashion, food, design. I myself represent 'Sport'. We did a small and intimate launch in a private apartment on Thursday. The location was chosen as the Superstar shoe is really a homely, comfortable and 'non-fancy' shoe that everyone can wear at any occasion. It was a relaxed launch event and it was really nice to do something different from the elaborate and sometimes overwhelming events.

Two weeks ago, I was part of a photo shoot with Jonas Bie for the campaign. All the superstars will be featured on a poster along with quotes from three close friends that describe why you are a superstar.
