This weekend I ran the Powerade aka Wonderfull Copenhagen half marathon. My running club, Nbro-Running hosted a big group of international runners from all over the world. In the “running-world” we call these events BTG, which stands for Bridge the Gap. “Bridge The Gap” is the Culmination of like minded Running Crews that congregate across the Planet. Normally, BTG’s are centered around specific running events. The first official Bridge The Gap event took place in Berlin in 2012. Since then, many Crews have played host to the Crewsaders who come to visit. Most recently the Berlin Braves hosted a BTG in Berlin and Harbour Runners welcomed us to Hong Kong.

When I run long runs like a half marathon my breakfast is very important for the race. I usually eat banana protein pancakes before the race. They give me lots of fuel and energy. As my friends from Amsterdam said, “Your pancakes made us fly out there”. The pancakes is really easy to make and they taste amazing! 2 eggs, 1 banana, 1 dl oats (gluten free), pinch of salt, pinch of pure vanilla and a splash of milk. Blend everything together. Then fry mixture on the pan in coconut oil. Enjoy… Tip: They taste amazing with peanutbutter!

New friends. I’m a very social person, and I love new friends. I was hanging out with these lovely guys from Amsterdam/ Patta Running team the whole week!

The dust has settled after this incredible week! I feel so much joy within me… I love running a lot, but I love the social part even more! The underground running community is so strong, and all the people I meet are so inspiring and cool! Words can’t explain how amazing it feels to be a part of this! I’m so happy and blessed about all the new great friendships I have received from all over the world! Thanks to everybody for this amazing week! Can´t wait for next BTG event! Luckily, I’m running Chicago Marathon in less than a month, so I will get to see my running family soon again.. #Crewlove <3
